Date added: 08/21/2010 Famous Athletes and Musicians Wearing Christian Shirts

When I was growing up, I don't remember there being cool Christian t-shirts in stores. Seriously. Companies like Sanctify Clothing have exploded onto the scene and now famous athletes, band members and other celebrities are being spotted wearing these great, stylish Christian duds.

You can see photos of these celebrities on the Sanctify website: Sanctify Celebrities.

Here's a partial list of the athletes that have been photographed wearing Sanctify t-shirts:

  • Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals
  • Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic
  • Luke McCown of the Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos
  • Shaun Alexander, currently with the Washington Redskins
  • Andy Pettitte of the New York Yankees
  • Jordan Kent of the St. Louis Rams
  • Brady Quinn of the Denver Broncos
  • Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears
  • Lance Cormier of the Tampa Bay Rays
  • Jeremy Reed of the Toronto Blue Jays
  • Nick Roach of the Chicago Bears
  • Matt Laporta of the Cleveland Indians

There are also many great Bands and Artists that have worn the shirts on stage or out and about:

  • Casting Crowns
  • Boston
  • Superchick
  • Heartland
  • Brent Keith
  • Skillet
  • December Radio
  • Third Day
  • Mercy Me
  • Disciple
  • Britt Nicole
  • Richie McDonald
  • Jeff Bates
  • Since October ....and more.

The fact is that wearing t-shirts or apparel that bears scripture or Christian messages is a great way to witness to others without saying one word. In the lifetime of one t-shirt, over 3000 people read that shirt. For these athletes and musicians, that number obviously goes up exponentially. But never before have there been companies like Sanctify, Kerusso and Gardenfire to produce great looking, hip Christian t-shirts with a resounding message.

Thanks to these athletes and artists for sharing God's word by what you wear, as well as the ministry through your actions. It is cool to be a Christian and wear Christ out in public.

Today my family was out to eat at a fast food restaurant before taking our kids to a movie. We blessed our food and then proceeded to eat. About mid-way into our meal, two ladies stood up from their table to leave. One of the women stopped over at our table and thanked us for praying before our meal. She said it blessed her. We sometimes take for granted the simplest things. But why not bless the people around you by wearing Christ everywhere you go?
